General Service FAQs
What types of vehicles do you service?
We service all light vehicles including passenger cars, SUVs, 4WDs, utes, and light commercial vehicles (vans and small trucks). We also service and repair diesel-powered vehicles and plant equipment.
Are you an Authorised Inspection Station?
Yes. Autochange is an official Authorised Inspection Station for NSW, which means we can issue pink slip / e-safety check certificates for light vehicle registration.
Do you handle auto electrical work?
Absolutely. We provide comprehensive auto electrical services including battery testing and replacement,
alternator repairs, wiring fault diagnosis, ECU diagnostics, and more.
Can you service my car's air conditioning?
Yes. We are fully licensed for refrigerant handling and provide A/C regas, diagnostics, compressor repairs, and
leak detection for all vehicle makes and models.
Do you stock and fit tyres?
Yes. We supply and fit a wide range of tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, 4WDs, and light commercials. We also
offer wheel balancing and alignment services.
Pricing & Quoting
Do you provide quotes before starting work?
Always. We assess your vehicle first and provide a full written quote before any work begins. We won’t proceed without your approval, and there are no hidden costs.
How do your prices compare to dealerships?
We are typically more affordable than dealerships while maintaining the same — or higher — quality of work
and parts. We use quality approved components and have significantly lower overhead costs.

Turnaround Times
How long does a standard service take?
A standard logbook service typically takes between 2–3 hours. More complex repairs may take longer, and
we’ll always give you a realistic time estimate when you book in.
Can I wait at the workshop?
Yes, you’re welcome to wait for shorter services. For longer jobs, we recommend dropping your vehicle off in
the morning and collecting it later in the day.
Do you offer same-day service?
For many common repairs and services — including rego checks, brake pads, and tyre fittings — we can often accommodate same-day appointments. Call us to check availability.
Warranty & Logbook Servicing
Will logbook servicing at Autochange void my new car warranty?
No. Under Australian consumer law, you are free to have your vehicle serviced by any qualified mechanic without voiding your new car warranty, provided the service follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses
approved parts. We do exactly that.
Do you stamp my logbook?
Yes. We stamp and complete your logbook at every service, maintaining a full service record that protects your vehicle’s warranty and resale value.
Do you offer a warranty on your repairs?
Yes. We stand behind our work. Please speak with our team at the time of service for specific warranty details applicable to your repair.

How do I book a service?

open Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm.
Where are you located?
We’re located at Unit 1 Pioneer Dr, Bellambi NSW 2518 — conveniently close to Wollongong’s northern
suburbs. Street parking is available.
What are your opening hours?
We’re open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. We are closed on weekends and public holidays.
